Lana Del Ray on SNL. 

So there has been so much talk about her performance on SNL and most have not been kind. This is a prime example of what happens when someone who has yet to release a full album performs for the masses. Not many people has heard of her and when you are not mentally ready it will blow up in your face. She needs to re-evaluate whoever is working with her because this was just a bad start. For months I’ve been reading about her and I have yet to be impress and this performance on SNL just clarify what I’ve already been feeling about her. 

For anyone who says that maybe it’s just a matter of taste, I’m hear to tell you when an artist can sing and perform well, it will show. People know when someone is being “real” on stage and I personally am not buying what she is selling. 

For anyone who is calling her original and a great songwriter, I’m here to tell you to get the fuck out of here. Listen to Fiona Apple who is not only a great singer but one hell of a songwriter. There is a list of artist that you can easily see where Lana Del Rey gets her influence from. I’ll give you three besides Fiona Apple now just to prove a point.

3. Liz Phair 

This girl isn’t doing anything new and what she is doing, she isn’t doing well.
